The Old Foundry, 66 High Street, Old Leigh

(Now Closed)

Following the sad passing of Lynn in the summer of 2017, the family have decided to close the gallery and shop. The last day was Christmas Eve 2017.

There is an auction of items scheduled for 29 April, 2018.

from The Lynn Tait Facebook page:

29th April 2018 Viewing from 11am - 1pm and then the Auction will start at 2pm.

Additional viewing on the 28th April between 11am and 3pm. Grab yourself a piece of local history from the legendary Lynn Tait Gallery.

We will be auctioning off (pretty much) everything from the shop – that includes stock, shop fittings, artworks, artefacts and everything in between.

P.S. unfortunately our lovely pier train isn’t for sale!

The shop was home to many original gifts, souvenirs and collectables, often with a local theme, including paintings and early photographs from the turn of the last century. Also inside the shop was a restored Southend Pier train.
